The Community Story Project is a project with the aim to improve and extend the somewhat meager parts of Gothic 3, especially the story. Show them your support by spreading word of the mod! The Community Story Project for Gothic 3 has been making slow progress, the most recent update is from April 2021. News of this overhaul existing beyond their WoG subthread will no doubt help given the forum is largely German speaking. Obviously it would be very cool if if this is ever completed and word-of-mouth is definetely a motivating factor when it comes to massive overhaul projects like this. It's important to give credit where credit is due though, which is why I'd like to give a shout out to one such project with the aim of completely overhauling Gothic 3 - basically finishing the game as the developers intended. Where the third game is concerned though, these efforts are understandably met with less enthusiasm due to the default state of the game being so broken and incomplete. The Gothic modding community is very dedicated, one only need to look at the countless gameplay tweaks/overhauls/patches for the first two games to see this. Now I am finding out, that these files were available only for the DX 9 version and are not available for DX 11 outside the instalation of Windows, is that true? I am lost and fcked up now :-( also some types videos stopped working.When it comes to Gothic 3, most people can agree while it did show potential to be a great game, it was unfortunately an unfinished mess and tarnished the enitre legacy of the series by derailing what could have been a great trilogy. which I found out is probably a problem of me removing the files. And even though the Gothic II (even with all the additional things from the G2: Returning 2.0) starts and works, when I press "New Game", it freezes and this goes up: Then I couldn't replace them, because the video is outdated and the links don't work. When I was trying all kinds of things and looking for help on internet, I found this video on youtube and deleted the "InstalledVersion" and "Version" files in the RegEdit as he advices from 0:35. I installed everything and used the build you sent me link for and it works man! No white screen!! :) I will be happy only with the G2 build, because that is actually what I was looking for because of the G2: Returning 2.0 I wanna play.
